Want to offer your domain name for sale yourself? SIDN supports the universal, standardised "for sale" method described in RFC 10023. It lets you indicate that your domain name is for sale. Supporting websites and other parties can then display this signal, making it easier for supply and demand to find each other.
Ask your registrar
First, ask your registrar whether they support the "for sale" method. If they do, your registrar can explain how to offer your domain name for sale.
Doesn't your registrar support the method? Then you can also set it up yourself. This requires some knowledge of DNS.
Decide how buyers can contact you
Decide where you want to send potential buyers. This could be an email address, a phone number, or a web page. Keep in mind that this information may be publicly visible and could lead to unwanted calls or emails. We therefore recommend using a separate web page: a landing page.
Create a landing page
You decide what the landing page looks like, which language it's written in, and how you identify yourself as the seller. Advanced users could, for example, add a contact form.
Create the _for-sale DNS record
Next, create the so-called _for-sale DNS record. The exact procedure differs per registrar. You can often set this up via a web interface. Do this carefully.

Below is an example. Most parts are optional: an asking price and free text, for instance, are not mandatory. Contact information can be added with the furi= tag.

fcod= tag exactly from the official example. Use exactly one fcod= tag starting with NLFS. The NLFS value is SIDN-specific and must match exactly. This line is required for the "for sale" button to appear on the SIDN website. Do not change this line.
The other tags can be filled in as you see fit. They are optional. An asking price is not required, and the free-text field is optional too.
Check that it works
Go to whois.nl and check whether the "for sale" button appears next to your domain name. It may take some time before changes to DNS records become visible on the internet.
Done!
If everything went well, your domain name is now for sale. Good luck with the sale!
